How Will You Be Remembered?

With the death of 3 great and legendary entertainers this week, the media has been abuzz. Charlie’s Angels star Farrah Fawcett, King of Pop Micheal Jackson and the legendary Ed McMahon have lost their lives this week, some in peaceful ways, others in more dramatic ways and still another fighting for her last breath of life.
No matter how you die, you will always be remembered for how you lived. These three certainly lived celebrated lives and full ones at that. Despite their shortcomings, failures, and disappointments they rose above all to be legendary and will forever leave an imprint of the many lives they touched.
These deaths, some untimely, others not so much, begs the question for each of us. How will you be remembered? What will your legacy be? Are you living each day as if it were the last and if so what will others remember about you?
We may not all have the opportunity to become an actress for a syndicated television show, host late night tv, or sing on stage in front of millions of fans, but everyday we are a living testament of Jesus in us. We are the “salt” of the earth, we bring flavor to the world. Not only are we flavorful but we are friends with the most legendary man of all times!
And even though your fans are not screaming at your concerts, or waiting backstage for your autograph, remember they are still all around. They are the cashiers in the stores, the drivers for valet, the teachers at your kids schools, your neighbors, your family, even your closest friends. All looking, waiting, and seeking a gentle touch, a guided hand a whisper of his name…..Jesus.
Begin to create your memory box today, don’t forget to mention your maker and how he has changed your life and set you free. Someone, somewhere will be glad you did!
